Vernier Throttle AA5-B

The first time I flew an ILS in IMC in a friend's vernier-equipped Bonanza, I knew I had to have one in my Tiger. Very small changes in RPM keep you dialled onto the glildeslope. Moreover, the vernier throttle by its nature also encourages slow, gradual power changes, which many feel is healthy for the engine. In the event that instantaneous full throttle is required for, say, a go-around, the vernier can be overridden by depressing a large center button. In the one or two times I've used it in this way, I just used the heel of my hand to push the throttle forward.
